Posted Aura, chakra, myself, why I'm here
inIt’s almost time for the full moon for this month, also known as the Buck Moon to my friends in the US.
In exciting news, I will be live at my dear friend Janet Woods, Reiki Angel Intuitive’s page (http://www.janetwoodsreikiangelintuitive.com), where I’ll be discussing auras, chakras and answering any general questions people might have. I’ll be there Tuesday, 19th July (US time) from around 6pm EST in the US onwards
Please feel free to stop by, spend some time and enjoy the company of likeminded people.
EDIT – I’ll be arriving slightly earlier, so I’ll be there from 4pm US EST. Hope to see you there!

The seventh chakra is our spiritual link – it allows us to be fully connected in spiritual matters. It’s located at the very top of the head, and when aligned properly we are able to experience the beauty of people we meet (on the inside as well as the outside), we feel connected to our sense of spirituality and we find pure bliss.
The crown chakra is a violet colour (similar to the indigo of the third eye chakra, but less blue, more red in tint) and can be cleansed and repaired by meditation and running/cardio exercises.
Because the crown chakra represents spirituality and its connection to self, there aren’t really any beneficial foods for it – the greatest benefit is fresh air and sunshine. A great essential oil to activate the crown chakra is lotus oil, and gemstones that help in this also are:
Amethyst (increases telepathy, intuition and angelic communication, protects against psychic attack and is the stone of spirituality & contentment);
Clear Quartz Crystal (helps draw spiritual light into the chakra);
Diamond (has great healing power – this stone provides purity and illumination, also helping transformation);
Sugalite (helps connect to cosmic consciousness, this give emotional nourishment.
(Indigo is an aura colour that would essentially mean the same as violet for me – angelic protection). This is where being a guy is difficult – I’m like an old-school computer monitor, in that I only see a set amount of colours with regards to auras. Indigo and violet all broadly fall under “purple”.
01 Tuesday Jul 2014
Indigo is a great colour to see. Aura wise, it relates closest to the dark/deep purple I see that represents angelic protection. I interpret it to mean that the guides and angels around you are keeping you safe and keeping you attuned for their messages.
When focused on the chakras, indigo shows up in the third eye. Located between the eyes, this chakra relates to our ability to focus on the big picture. It deals with our intuition, imagination, wisdom and ability to think & make decisions.
The third eye chakra can be cleansed by eye exercises, purple coloured fruits (grapes), lavender flavoured spices or tea and (my personal favourite) chocolate. Essential oils that help heal the third-eye chakra are star anise, lavender, eucalyptus and rosemary.
Gem stones that work best to heal and stabilise the third eye chakra are Azurite (which helps awaken psychic abilities and provide insight. It helps the flow between chakras and helps connect us with our spirit guides) and Lapis Lazuli (which assists in past life recall and releasing karmic debts).

Blue is a gorgeous, comforting colour when it comes to auras. I see it in two shades – light and dark. Light blue is this beautiful positive masculine energy. I interpret it as being about nourishing your inner sense of childish play, going out and having physical fun. It’s indicative of a lot of love and good vibes. Dark blue immediately conjures up floating peacefully in water, all your cares and worries washing away. It’s a great indication of physical balance and harmony.
In the chakras, Blue relates to the Throat chakra. It shows our ability to communicate, and the areas of truth, communication and our self-expression of feelings. To help heal the chakra, singing and chanting are excellent exercises, as well as drinking juices & teas and all kinds of fruit. Frankincense is a wonderful essential oil to help with any problems with the throat chakra, and gemstones that work wonders are Blue Sapphire (which help to align our truth and bring it into the world); Blue Topaz (bringing the body, mind and spirit into union) and Sodalite (this is a stone of truth – it increases knowledge, learning and intelligence).

Green is a beautiful colour to see. Continuing on the theme, it resonates with both auras and chakras.
Auras
When I see green in an aura, generally it’s a deep, luscious green. It’s like walking through a forest – it shows that the person is in a great, well-balanced metaphysical place. It often pairs with purple (angelic protection) and blue (physical balance).
Chakras
Green relates to the Heart chakra. It governs our ability to love, and also shows the emotions of joy and inner peace. If the heart chakra is blocked, it can be healed by Bikram Yoga and ensuring our heart is open to others. Certain foods help keep the energy flowing – green leafy vegetables and green tea are among the best.
When using essential oils, Rose and Pine are great to use for the Heart chakra. There are some great gem stones used to heal the Heart chakra also:
Emerald: This stone helps with love and romance, as well as increasing sensitivity and loyalty in yourself and others.
Malachite: This helps cleanse emotional issues, release negative/painful emotions and brings harmony.
Green Jade: Brings in harmony and serenity, and assists in balances emotions
Peridot: It’s a stone of relationships – this stone brings openness and acceptance.
Rose Quartz: Unconditional love. This stone opens the heart centre to all forms of love.

First of all, I make no apologies for this excellent “Dad” joke. In case you haven’t realised by now, I rather like having a bit of fun with my blog titles. That said, yellow is a wonderful colour across the chakra and aura world. It’s a great life colour – the yellow sun, Marigold flowers automatically get you thinking of warmth, life and brightness. Few colours are able to automatically generate such wonderful positivity, which I think is a beautiful thing.
Auras
When I see yellow in an aura, it’s generally an indicator of physical health. A bright, warm yellow (like the one above) shows that there’s good health, whereas ill health is shown as a mustard yellow, sickly and gaseous.
Chakras
Yellow is the colour of the Solar Plexus chakra. This chakra relates to our ability to be confident and in control in our lives. The feeling of nerves, of butterflies in your stomach? That’s your Solar Plexus chakra signalling that it’s not as aligned as it should be – you’re not feeling confident or in control. It also indicates issues of self-worth/self-esteem.
This chakra vibrates on the note E. It can be healed by breathing the negative energy out, dancing or eating healing foods – yellow coloured like corn and bananas, as well as grains and fibre – and healing teas (peppermint or chamomile help re-balance this area). Some great essential oils for this chakra are carnation, lemon, gold and chamomile, and if gem stones are of interest to you, then the best ones to help move stagnant energy are amber, citrine, gold and Tiger’s Eye.
Amber: opens the chakra for clarity, balances mood and helps with confidence. It acts to purify, to enhance patience, draw negative energy from the body and purify the spirit.
Citrine: This builds willpower, confidence, clear thinking and happiness.
Gold: This helps regain personal power and strengthen as well as amplifying the body’s energy.
Tiger’s Eye: ROAR! This is great for courage, confidence and protection. It assists in deepening the perception and clarity of self.

Orange is another colour with significance for both auras and chakras.
Aura
When orange shows up in an aura, I read it as signifying focus and determination – which is why it can easily be paired with red (passion), silver (angelic communication) or purple (angelic guidance). It’s about being locked in and in The Zone – being guided by yourself or your angels.
Chakra
Orange relates to the sacral chakra – it governs the connection with others and new experiences. It’s located in the lower abdomen – near the bellybutton – and governs the reproductive system, testes and ovaries as well as the bladder and kidneys. Emotionally, it’s tied to our feelings of abundance and well-being, how we experience pleasure and our sexuality.
In healing and balancing the sacral chakra, there are different options: sound (where the key of D is used); food that is orange (oranges, tangerines, carrots) and any kind of nuts will help realign the chakra. Exercises such as pelvic thrusts can also help clear a chakra blockage, as can dancing – get moving! 🙂
02 Monday Jun 2014
I realised that perhaps I should explain some of the colours I see, and make it clear that they don’t always relate solely to the aura. That said, this will be the first in a series of notes about different colours and their aura meaning and chakra meaning (where relevant).
Red’s a colour that’s highly emotive – see it on a stop sign and it means stop, see it leaking out of you and you’ve been wounded (or consult a urologist) and it’s used to show temperature. Red also shows up in aura readings and the chakras.
Aura
How I see red is passion, intensity. It can be physical passion (lovemaking) or emotional passion – painting a picture, singing – doing something which drives and moves you. When it’s nice and bright, it’s happening now or in the very near future. Dark red can be quite unsettling, as it’s negative thinking, lack of passion, danger.
Chakras
As the root chakra is red. Here’s a little extra my human guide gave me to make clear – the chakras are entwined with the physical body also. Not only does the root chakra function to ground, provide stability and ensure survival, but it’s also associated with the large intestine and the rectum (also having some influence on kidney function). Issues with this chakra could indicate physical problems, as well.
